Introduction: Some personality traits and characteristics are "subclinical threshold" that their intensity in an individual is not as much clinical disorders but they can cause various abnormalities. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship role immature defense mechanisms predicting dark triad traits. Method: This descriptive-analytical cross-sectional conducted on population individuals referring vaccination centers Sanandaj city 2020-2021. Out these individuals, 282 were selected sample population. research instruments Andrews' Defense Styles Questionnaire (1993) Paulhus's Short Dark Tetrad (2021). Data analyzed using Pearson correlation, structural equation modeling, stepwise regression analysis with SPSS version 23 Amos 26 software. Results: results showed a significant between (P≤0.05). Moreover, model explained 81% According results, splitting (β=0.271, P≤0.01), denial (β=0.168, omnipotence (β=0.142, P≤0.05) better predictors than other mechanisms.
